Today, WordPress released its latest version of the popular blogging CMS nicknamed “Thelonious” after jazz musician Thelonious Monk. The new release unleashed a new API that can handle more dynamic customization of background images, headers and menu navigation. One of the major additions was the merging of WordPressMU into the latest release. With this integration, many websites can now be created and maintained within one WordPress install.
One of my favorite features is the new built in link shortener service, which allows for me to send out a shortened link of my post within my site backend. I also really enjoy the custom navigation features that can be built into new themes.
Without further adieu, I give to you the video that WordPress released with today’s major update.
