As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t been posting weekly link resources like I have done in the past. Reason for this being that it was intended to be an experiment. While I saw a lot of positive results, I found a lot of flaws with posting all of these links.
While I did learn a lot from taking the time to publish these posts, I realized that the overall cons outweighed the pros. As a way of refining said resources, the best thing would be to break down all of the links into a specific category and craft a better approach for the content, such as publishing a series of 10 resources of a certain topic on a weekly basis and going into depth with each resource, and actually giving people incentive to want to come back without overwhelming them.
I’m not exactly sure what I will do with the current posts. I may just end up deleting them (sorry). Worry not, though, for if you want a copy of all the resources, I put them together in a Microsoft Office 2007 spreadsheet for you to download and browse through.
I’d like to thank everyone who was supportive in the effort, especially Megan Battistella and Viviana Ball for the encouragement and support.
Today marks the final weekend of my final summer vacation as a student. For roughly 18 years of my life, I’ve been in school; from kindergarten to grade school, to junior high, to high school, and now… finally finishing my undergraduate studies at UWSP. The summer was filled with friends and lots of concerts that will make this summer a memorable one. It wasn’t until today that reality hit me with the cold hard facts: school starts on Thursday and it’s time to buckle down…sort of.
For the first time in my academic career, this is the first semester that I’m not really looking forward to. It’s not because of the workload, and not really because of senioritis. Actually, it’s all about the senioritis, and other circumstances that have come up. Along with the friends and fun this summer, a lot of things have changed.
Don’t mess with this guy above or you’re in for a world of hurt! My latest guest blog post has just been published over at Web Movement, LLC and I must say I’m pretty proud of it. The topic for discussion revolves around the importance of distributing content. The cliche phrase that has become a mantra in the SEO community is “content is king”, which is a very true statement, the only problem is that who wants to be king is nobody’s reading? The post covers topics on how beginners can find effective ways of distributing content and how to begin establishing a workflow for content that already exists.
Check it out! You may learn a thing or two about how you distribute your own content.
As previously mentioned, I stated that I would be guest blogging for Web Movement, LLC in the upcoming weeks and I am proud to say that the first post is up! I my first guest post, I wrote about 6 plugins to enhance WordPress performance that I currently use on my WordPress powered site. It’s a must read for those who like to keep a clean and smooth running site.
I’ll be contributing posts weekly to the Web Movement, LLC blog, so stay tuned for more updates!
