Why You Need More Sleep!

logo

Starting during my years in college, I’ve always had an irregular sleep cycle.  While I am graduated and working full time during the day, there are some nights where I just don’t get enough sleep.  Balancing a day job with freelance work, personal projects, and time for family and friends sometimes leave very little room for sleep, especially naps.  This infographic investigates the effects of sleep deprivation and the physical toll it takes on the human body.  After reading through this infographic, I realized that I really need to change some of my own sleep habits and that it took a huge toll on me in college.  I believe that everyone that works in the freelance field, or people that are overworked in our field should pay attention and read through the facts presented.

Big thanks to Medical Coding and Billing Certification, a site that focuses on the ICD-10 World Health Organization set of standards for diseases.

A Day In The Internet Infographic

logo

With the overwhelming number of infographics filling my inbox these days, I’ve decided that the majority of them are worth the share and will be making this a daily routine.

Today’s infographic comes from MBAOnline and focuses on what a day in the internet looks like in terms of media creation and consumption, as well as time spent on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and even Pinterest.  The numbers are daunting, especially when observing internet activity and media consumption 10… or even 5 years ago.

Enjoy, folks, and remember, to see the infographic more clearly, click on the image for a full-sized view!

Work is Murder! [Infographic]

logo

A very grim outlook at post-college life in the workforce, or just the workforce in general.  This infographic looks at the metrics of the average American, the average American job,  and how jobs requiring less physical labor affect health.  Grim color palette also included.

Though a lot of the facts are true in this infographic, remember that small changes in lifestyle can have a big impact!

Thanks for sharing this with me, Online University.
