During my time at UWSP, I set up an adjunct course for the Jewish Scriptures course offered at UWSP. I spent my time working with a handful of students discussing extra topics that focused on the historical, sociological, and narrative approaches to the Old Testament and non-canonical literature. We also used the time to study for midterms and peer review research papers. Below are the notes I have published along with my syllabus.
Also, in my spare time a few summers back, I put together two really quick Hebrew Alphabet applications in Flash. One is a flashcard style application that gives the pronunciation, symbol, and English version of the character. The second application recites the pronunciation of each character.
I plan on updating these applications in sometime in the future and when I do they will be provided on this page.
I also spent time as a faculty assistant to the Computing and New Media Technologies department at UWSP where I spent time managing the computer lab, tutoring students, and assisting Professor Anthony Ellertson with the second course we offer in Flash/Flex development on campus. My objectives were to create tutorials and assist students with learning the fundamentals of the ActionScript 3.0 programming language and Adobe Flex Builder 3. I plan on working with this course for the remainder of my time at UWSP and will soon have updated tutorials I will be creating for the new semester. If, for some reason, I end up not assisting with this course, I will still have new content on the topics readily available here.
